ISSUES

Medicare and Social Security

Senior speaking with doctor
An economy that works for seniors is an economy that works for everyone. Creating a Social Security plan that provides for millions of citizens across the country isn’t optional; it’s a necessity. We must protect the Social Security and Medicare benefits that our seniors have earned.

Social Security gives millions of seniors, those with disabilities, and their loved ones much-needed resources and peace of mind. According to the Social Security Administration, “In 2024, an average of almost 68 million Americans per month will receive a Social Security benefit.” Mark is committed to not only protecting Social Security but to expanding the program so that all of our seniors can live with dignity.

We can protect Medicare by lowering the costs of providing care and prescription drugs. It is also critical that we increase access to mental health services while eliminating wasteful spending.
